Weekend Workshops in Photogenic Northeast U.S. Locations

Many of our workshops are conveniently scheduled from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and combine lectures, fieldwork and critique, with emphasis on guided hands-on activity. Our mission is to expose you to new ways of seeing and new techniques, while you meet new friends in a getaway environment. Our low student:faculty ratio (12:1 or less) ensures personal attention.

Nationally-Recognized Instructors
Horizon's instructors are widely-published professionals selected for their experience, expertise, enthusiasm, and communications skills. Steve Gottlieb, Horizon's founder, has been designated as one of a half-dozen "Kodak Professional Icons". His images have been recognized with such awards as "Advertising Photograph of the Year" and he is photographer/author/designer of American Icons, Washington: Portrait of a City and Abandoned America, which was selected by both People Magazine and USA Today as a "2002 Gift Book of the Year".

Photogenic Locations
Many workshops are held at Horizon's Headquarters, located in a quaint waterfront town in northeast Maryland near Chesapeake Bay & its tributaries. It is convenient to DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Wilmington and NYC. Other workshops are held in DC, VA, WV, PA, NY, NJ, MA, RI, etc.
