Photography in Provence

Photography in Provence

What to Photograph
&
Why?

Designed: For people who want to concentrate on finding their 'own subject' and 'a personal approach'. Learn different ways to approach the subject. Test, take and make Photographs and Ideas that communicate successfully visually. Discover what touches you.

Learn: strategies for making Pictures tell stories, to edit, make Portraits that go beyond the surface. Optimize your capacity to seize 'Chance'. Each day is designed to develop and encourage your: personal response, visual knowledge & judgment, and the technical skill to support your intention.

Learn On-Location: With Digital or B&W Photography. We work at different times of day; crossing a variety of landscape from fresh water mountain streams, to salt lagoons in the Camargue, among ruins from Greek to the Middle Ages, in cafes and street photography...

While teaching Art & Design students, I became convinced that effective visual learning and constructive discovery come from Projects; that are fun, challenging, and offer practice which makes progress giving results we can see, think about and develop in productive and imaginative ways. Learning by doing and "See & Know", continue to be the guiding principles.

Provence has a tradition of attracting painters, writers, poets, and now photographers. Light, heat and tranquillity open the senses, and offer time to consider what the senses reveal. It is a country studded with sites from antiquity, of myth, magic, and miracles, of battles between virtue and infamy. All inspire and invite response.... Refresh yourself, your photography and enjoy Provence.
