I'm John Baker, a 56 year old British Photographer and owner/leader of Travel Images, specializing in small-group photo tours. My goal is to place my clients in the right place at the right time for the highest quality images in the field of landscape, natural history and wildlife etcetera.
Even though most of my tours are for small groups of up to 9, group sizes are often just 5 to 8 people. I customize trips for individuals and Camera Club groups, and am able to change trip dates to accommodate special requests.
To make your trip memorable it's important that I pay attention to detail. I frequently make suggestions regarding composition, lens, shutter/aperture, how to approach wildlife and generally be as helpful as I can. This is because it's very important to me that you get the best out of every photo stop we make. I give practical instruction throughout, and get the group to the right places when the light is at its best. Along the way clients enjoy cultural experiences and generally have fun, with photography guidance given in a relaxing manner.
About Your Instructor John Baker's photographs have been published in many British and Canadian magazines, plus Natural History and Farm and Ranch Living in the US etcetera. He has written 80 plus photography columns and teaches the "photographic arts" at conventions and seminars. John's work with 2-projector and digital multi-image programs brings him recognition and is a feature of some trips.
Small-groups, hands-on photo tours and workshops that include digital critiques and PhotoShop sessions. On-board video screen also provided for client use.
John Baker, photographer/leader, 30 years professional photographic experience in the UK and North America, has led photo tours since 1988.
